Without vision the people of God
have no direction.
Vision is what ignites our passion. According to Bill Hybels, vision "is the clear call that sustains focussed effort year after year, decade after decade, as people offer consistent and sacrificial service to God".
As a church we are seeking God as to how we can grow as a Bible-based, Spirit-led and Mission-focussed community of Christ's disciples.
As a church we have identified the following characteristics as emplifying the type of Christian community we seek to be over the next 5-10 years - Bible-based preaching and teaching, devotion to prayer, evangelism and community-focussed mission, discipleship training, God-focussed worship, welcome and caring, and excellence in youth ministry.
We seek to be people who encounter God, equip the saints, and evangelize our community.
Part of our vision
is Mission Darlington, a commitment which will enable every person in
Darlington to hear the good news of Jesus Church within the next five
years.
