Mission

Mission is a fundamental activity of the church. Jesus told his disciples, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Since William Carey went to India 200 years ago, Baptists have been at the forefront of mission and the Baptist Tabernacle supports the work of BMS WorldMission as well as a number of other missionaries.

The current BMS link missionary is Joan Woodyer who is working with AIDS patients in Angola.
